Lakeland Co-op Outstanding Youth Community Service Award

Hey Lakeland ~ We Need Your Input!

In 2024, in honour of Lakeland Co-op's 40th Anniversary, we presented our first-ever $1000.00 Outstanding Youth Community Service Award to a youth, aged 16 to 18, in the Lakeland Co-op trading area who embodies exceptional service to their community through volunteerism and leadership. We will be continuing to offer this unique award in 2025 and beyond!

The Lakeland Co-op Outstanding Youth Community Service Award is based not on academic achievement but rather volunteer community service and leadership activity. Community service refers to a significant contribution of volunteer time, energy and/or talent that fosters community well-being.

This is a nomination-based application. Youth must be nominated either by a teacher or support-staff member at their school, by a community member, or by a Lakeland Co-op team member.We are SURE you know a student who exemplifies outstanding community service through volunteerism and leadership! Please nominate them for this unique – and significant – award!

This $1000.00 will be awarded to one youth specifically NOT moving into/pursuing post-secondary education. Youth pursuing post-secondary education are eligible to apply for support through the Lakeland Co-op Scholarship Program.
